About fire-rated glazed screens

Ratings come in two main forms: integrity only (E), which holds back flames and smoke, and integrity with insulation (EI), which also limits the heat passing through. The glass, frame, seals, fixings and door hardware must all come from the same tested system. Full details on fire-rated glazed screens.

Questions from Norfolk customers

How long does it take to get fire-rated glazed screens fitted in Norfolk?

Lead time is typically 6–8 weeks from survey. We'll give you a firm date when you approve the drawing.

Who fits fire-rated glazed screens in Norfolk?

Our own installation team, working to the drawing agreed at survey. The same company quotes, manufactures and fits your glazing.

What's the difference between E and EI glass?

E-rated glass holds back flames and smoke. EI-rated glass also insulates, limiting the heat on the safe side — needed where people must pass close to the glass on an escape route.
