Frameless glass room dividers
A frameless glass room divider is a wall of toughened glass panels held in slim top and bottom channels, with no vertical frames between the panes. It separates a home office, playroom or dining area while keeping the room feeling as big as it was.

What are frameless glass room dividers?
Panels are usually 10mm or 12mm toughened glass, joined with a clear seal so the run reads as one sheet. The channels can be recessed into the ceiling and floor for a near-invisible finish, and a frameless swing or sliding door can be added.

Where they work best
We most often fit frameless glass room dividers in open-plan flats, home offices, basement conversions and dressing areas. At the survey we'll look at the light, the way the space is used and the structure around the opening, and suggest a layout that works for it.
Building Regulations and safety
All glass is toughened to BS EN 12150 so it breaks safely in a critical location. In a flat, check your lease — many freeholders ask for consent before layouts are altered.
How the job runs
We survey and measure, send a drawing and a fixed written price, then make your glazing to order — lead time is around 3–4 weeks from survey, and most dividers are fitted in a day. On the day, floors are protected, the frame or track is fixed, the glass is set and sealed, and the space is cleaned before handover.
Questions about frameless glass room dividers
Is frameless glass safe with children around?
Yes. Toughened glass is several times stronger than ordinary glass and breaks into small blunt pieces. We can add frosted markings at child and adult eye level so the glass is easy to see.
Can a divider be taken down later?
Channel-fixed dividers can be removed with limited making-good to the ceiling and floor, though the glass is cut to your opening and is rarely reusable elsewhere.
Should I choose low-iron glass?
Standard float glass has a faint green edge. Low-iron glass is clearer and looks whiter from the side, which suits white or pale interiors.
