Glass pivot doors in Devon

About glass pivot doors

A glass pivot door rotates on a pin set into the floor and head, rather than hanging on side hinges. That lets the door be taller, wider and heavier than a normal internal door, and it swings with a slow, balanced action. Full details on glass pivot doors.

Glass pivot doors for Devon properties

Much of what we fit in Devon goes into Georgian terraces in Exeter, naval-era houses in Plymouth, thatched cottages and coastal homes. The survey is where we spot the things that change a price — a sloping floor, a hidden pipe, a wall that needs a lintel — so there are no surprises later. On the commercial side, much of our Devon work involves offices on Exeter's business parks, in Plymouth city centre and around Torquay.

Cost and lead time in Devon

Most glass pivot doors jobs in Devon fall between £2,200–£4,200 per door or item plus VAT, fitted. Try the guide-price tool for your size, then book a survey for a fixed quote. Survey slots across Devon (EX, PL, TQ) are usually available within a week or two, and lead time is typically 5–7 weeks from survey.

Building Regulations and safety

Door glass is a critical location, so toughened or laminated safety glass is used. The floor pivot needs a solid, level base, which we check at survey.
