About internal windows and borrowed light
An internal window is a fixed glazed panel set into an internal wall to borrow daylight from a bright room for a dark one — an inner hallway, a landing, a windowless bathroom or a box room. A glazed fanlight over a door does the same job. Full details on internal windows and borrowed light.
Internal windows and borrowed light for Ayrshire properties
We regularly work in sandstone villas in Ayr and Troon and coastal homes along the Firth of Clyde around Ayrshire. In older homes we scribe frames to walls that aren't plumb; in newer ones it's usually a case of finding the studs and services before we fix. Businesses here come to us as well, particularly offices around Kilmarnock and Irvine.
