About internal windows and borrowed light
An internal window is a fixed glazed panel set into an internal wall to borrow daylight from a bright room for a dark one — an inner hallway, a landing, a windowless bathroom or a box room. A glazed fanlight over a door does the same job. Full details on internal windows and borrowed light.
Internal windows and borrowed light for Hertfordshire properties
Homes in Hertfordshire take in Arts and Crafts houses in Letchworth, garden-city homes in Welwyn and commuter semis in Watford and St Albans. That variety matters for glazing: an opening in a solid Victorian wall is prepared differently from a stud partition in a newer house, and we plan for it at survey. Businesses here come to us as well, particularly offices in Watford, Hatfield and Stevenage.
