Steel-look internal screens in Bedfordshire

About steel-look internal screens

Most screens are made from slim aluminium profiles finished to look like steel, which keeps the weight and the cost down; solid steel sections are available where a heavier, heritage profile is wanted. Every pane is toughened or laminated safety glass, and a hinged, sliding or pivot door can be built into the run. Full details on steel-look internal screens.

Steel-look internal screens for Bedfordshire properties

Much of what we fit in Bedfordshire goes into Victorian terraces in Bedford, 1930s semis in Luton and Dunstable, and new-build estates along the A421 corridor. The survey is where we spot the things that change a price — a sloping floor, a hidden pipe, a wall that needs a lintel — so there are no surprises later. We also work for local businesses, including business parks near London Luton Airport and offices in Bedford town centre.

Cost and lead time in Bedfordshire

As a guide, steel-look internal screens typically cost £550–£900 per m² plus VAT, supplied and fitted, with a minimum job of about £1,800. Your fixed price comes after the survey. Whether you're in Luton or a village outside it, our surveyors cover LU, MK, SG postcodes — expect typically 4–6 weeks from survey sign-off, with fitting usually done in a day.

Building Regulations and safety

Glass in walls within 800mm of the floor, and in doors or within 300mm of a door, is a critical location under Approved Document K, so safety glass is used throughout. If the screen sits on an escape route — for example the hallway of a house with a converted loft — a fire-rated specification may be needed; we check this at survey.
